About Saima:
My path to nutrition wasn’t a straight line—it was a personal journey of discovery. I initially returned to school for Pharmacy, but soon realized my passion wasn’t treating disease with medication but preventing it altogether.
Everything changed during my first pregnancy when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. With a family history of diabetes, I knew I had to take control of my health, and that realization became my mission. I became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), teaching healthy eating at my local mosque and sharing my knowledge with my children, friends, and community.
As the years passed, I faced my own health challenges - weight gain, pre-diabetes, autoimmune issues, and gut problems. Juggling a demanding career and family life, I found myself neglecting self-care. That’s when I discovered Functional Medicine, a holistic, science-backed approach that focuses on the root causes of illness rather than just symptoms.
Through gut testing, I uncovered the root of my SIBO, and I realized how chronic stress was affecting my overall well-being. As I navigated perimenopause, a back injury, and the pressures of daily life, I knew I had to take back control of my health. This journey led me to become certified in Functional Medicine and sleep coaching. Now, I’m dedicated to bringing this integrative approach to others, especially those who feel let down by standard medical care.
When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time with my four daughters and my five cats, and two dogs. I enjoy gardening, hiking, trying new cuisines, adult coloring books, sketching and gathering with family and friends.
I always say: You have to put your own oxygen mask on first before you can take care of others. I get how overwhelming it can be, but you don’t have to do it alone.
My Philosophy: Holistic. Personalized. Sustainable.
If there’s one thing my journey has taught me, it’s that support is everything. That’s why I approach nutrition with:
COMPASSION
I’ve been where you are, and I understand the challenges of making lasting health changes.
Personalization
No two people are the same, and your care should reflect your unique body, culture, values, and lifestyle.
A root-cause focus
Instead of just managing symptoms, I help uncover why you’re experiencing health concerns and how to restore balance.
No Diets or Quick fixes
I believe in moderation, sustainability, and trusting your body to heal with the right care—functional foods, quality sleep, stress management, and a supportive lifestyle.
